Newquay is a beach paradise and also the largest commercial holiday resort in Cornwall with seven miles of soft, golden sand. Famous for its nightlife, surfing, 11 beaches including the world famous Fistral beach which has held the World Surfing Championships and of course a full range of other various water sports. Newquay provides its visitors with a vast variety of excitement, entertainment and choices. Explore the cliff tops, walks along one of the superb commercial or unspoilt beaches or visit some of the many attractions in the town or close by.

Newquay has an abundance of shops, restaurants, hotels and nightlife that gives it a great holiday resort atmosphere in the summer. Just in case it get's too much, the other quieter side of Cornwall is not that far away.

The harbour is a real suntrap in a beautiful setting, what could be nicer than sitting in a deckchair soaking up the sun, watching the hustle and bustle all around?

Once an isolated fishing community, reliant on pilchards, with an still unspoilt harbour which was later used for transporting the tin, china clay during the industrial period. Why not wander along the Quay, where at high water the local fishermen unload their catch-baskets of crabs destined for top restaurants. It is also the place to book a sea angling trip.

Another landmark is the beautiful Huers Hut which with it's white walls, looks like it could be on a Greek isle. These huts were originally used as a lookout post to see if there were any pilchards nearby and although most were made of wood and have disappeared, this stone hut has survived.
